About the Position
Reporting to the Financial Controller, and with support from the Senior Leadership team the successful candidate will be required to evaluate and audit the effectiveness of Fleetwood’s management and control processes/procedures and recommend improvements. They will be required to challenge current practice and champion best practice.

 

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Review and development of a best in practice internal auditing scope for processes and procedures.
  • Evaluation of existing procedures and the identification of risks and controls.
  • Performance of scheduled internal audit assignments from initiation to completion.
  • Preparation of high-quality reports with clear recommendations, partnering closely with management.
  • Management of the validation of evidence provided by action owners to close corrective actions.
  • Identification of issues and the escalating of relevant matters to the management team.
  • Provide advice to the management team and act as a catalyst for improvement in the organisation’s practices, procedures and controls.
  • Support and encourage the development of strong internal controls.
  • To build a knowledge of the strategic objectives of Fleetwood and the sector in which it operates.
  • Advise, coach and facilitate training in internal control areas.

 

Qualification, Experience and Skills Required

  • Qualification in Internal Auditing, accountancy or similar (i.e. IIA, CIIA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Proven Internal Audit experience.
  • Solid understanding of risk and internal controls.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to provide clear instructions and guidelines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Critical thinker with the ability to draw reasonable conclusions, especially when dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and foster collaboration among team members.
  • Ability to influence situations while maintaining positive relationships.
  • Full driving licence required.
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative, drives to completion and is focused on outcomes.

 

Work Location
Based at our manufacturing site at Virginia, Co. Cavan with a requirement to work at all of Fleetwood sites as the role demands. Mileage is fully compensated.
