An opportunity has arisen for a Credit Controller on a fixed-term, specific-purpose contract within our Administration team. This role plays a key part in maintaining strong cash flow and supporting the financial stability of the business through effective credit control and customer account management.

The contract is for a specific business purpose in line with company policy and employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Debtors Ledger for Fleetwood Paints Ltd. and FSW Coatings Ltd., ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare monthly debtor analysis and management reports.
  • Liaise with colleagues across departments on credit control and account-related matters.
  • Contact customers daily by phone and email regarding outstanding payments.
  • Work closely with Sales Representatives to facilitate collections and resolve issues.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice queries promptly to prevent payment delays.
  • Issue monthly debtor statements to customers.
  • Liaise with the Financial Controller regarding overdue accounts and issue reminder letters as required.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties aligned with experience and competence.

 

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • Certificate or higher qualification in Business Studies or equivalent experience with a focus on Finance, Accounting, or Credit Control.
  • Proven experience managing credit control for both small and large customer accounts.
  • Experience using finance and accounting systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent telephone and communication skills.
  • Organised, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Professional and resilient when handling challenging credit situations.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems would be an advantage.
