We are now looking for a Supply Chain Planner to oversee and optimise our end-to-end supply chain, coordinating across production, purchasing, warehouse, despatch. This is a key role in keeping our paint and product ranges available to meet customer demand whilst driving operational efficiency. This role will be based at Virginia.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning: Develop and maintain production schedules, monitor progress, and manage MRP to ensure materials and resources meet demand.
- Stock & Inventory Control: Maintain accurate stock records, minimise shortages or excess, and support audits and cycle counts.
- Forecasting & Demand Planning: Work with sales and operations to optimise demand planning.
- Despatch & Logistics: Coordinate with warehouse and transport teams to ensure ontime, in-full deliveries.
- Lead Times & Troubleshooting: Monitor supplier and production lead times, proactively resolve bottlenecks, and act as first point of contact for supply chain challenges.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, enhance customer service, and ensure compliance with company management systems.
Qualification & Experience
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in supply chain, planning, or purchasing within manufacturing or distribution.
- Proven experience with MRP/ERP systems and strong Excel skills.
- Demonstrated success in stock management, forecasting, and supplier management.
- Experience in fast-moving or multi-site production environments.
- Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives or lean manufacturing.
