2025 Interior Colour Trends: A Nostalgic Sanctuary

2025 is making a strong statement right out of the gate. The minimalist look of greys and whites is officially out, and fun, bold, nostalgic colours are taking over. 

Think of a combination of early 2000s tans and caramels blending with the browns, yellows, and reds of the 1970s (don’t worry, we have learnt from the mistakes, and we know better now). 

The key to 2025 interiors is creating a warm and inviting sanctuary. While we may have done this in the past by adding greens to our home to bring nature indoors, we are now embracing warm earthy tones that stray from the traditional mid-tone greens and blues.

For the last few years, we have seen a spotlight on mid-tone blues that reflect shallow ocean waters. In 2025, we are going to see a splurge of deep ocean blues with a range of jewel tones that bring a sense of whimsy, drama, and fun to the home. 

Jammy Purples  

When thinking of purple, earth tones may not come to mind. However, deep-toned aubergine and jam colours evoke a sense of nature thanks to their brownish undertones. These colours are a perfect way to bring a unique sense of nature into your home in a bold and exciting new way. 

Limitless Reds  

Clay, sunsets, tomatoes, and flowers; red is limitless in where it shows up in nature. We’re expecting to see a range of dusty reds, jewel-tone reds, tomato reds, and more. This shade is varied and can create a range of emotions throughout your home, from calm and grounded to excited and fiery. 

Decadent Browns  

Another shade to help you stray from choosing pure whites and cool greys, browns are expected to become another neutral statement colour in homes. Because of its range, this colour can be a calm colour in its lighter shades, while its deeper tones evoke drama with a historical aesthetic.
