An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Technician at our manufacturing plant in Virginia, reporting to the Production & EHS Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of plant machinery and equipment through planned and reactive maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake both planned preventive maintenance and reactive (breakdown) repairs on all plant machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Diagnose faults and carry out timely and effective repairs across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Support the installation, commissioning, modification, and continuous improvement of production machinery and equipment
  • Accurately record all maintenance activities using CMMS systems, ensuring up-to-date tracking of work and schedules
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to minimise downtime, improve equipment reliability, and support operational efficiency
  • Ensure strict compliance with all health & safety regulations, company procedures, and best practices at all times

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Technician, with a strong technical foundation
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
  • Hands-on experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Strong awareness and commitment to health & safety standards within an industrial setting

Desirable

  • Dual-skilled capability with both mechanical and electrical experience
  • Experience working with PLCs, automation systems, or production line controls
  • Knowledge or exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Relevant additional certifications such as Working at Heights or Abrasive Wheels training
